SNPscience is a small computational group working on ancient DNA and population genetics. We hold a simple conviction: the deep history written in ancient genomes deserves the same rigor as any experimental science. A model of the past is a hypothesis, and a hypothesis earns trust only when anyone can check it.
That is why our studies are built in the open: reproducible pipelines, documented models, and honest negative results reported alongside the ones that worked. We publish what we find, and we offer the same methods as services to researchers who need them.
Command logs, parameter files, and pipeline versions ship with every study, so any result can be rerun and checked.
Our models are tested against a library of hundreds of indexed studies, and every claim is traced back to its source.
Models that fail are reported next to models that pass. A negative result is still a result, and we say so in print.
Client data stays client data. Analyses run on infrastructure we control, and nothing leaves it without written consent.
