Your data, treated like ours.

We collect only what a given feature needs to work:

• ✓Account data: your email address and login credentials when you register (passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us).
• ✓Contact messages: the name, email, and message you choose to send us through the contact form or by email.
• ✓Order data: products, delivery details, and order history if you purchase from the store.
• ✓Project data: files and messages you upload to the Client Portal for an analysis project (see the dedicated section below).
• ✓Technical basics: standard server logs and, if analytics are enabled, anonymous usage statistics. Your language and theme preferences are stored in your own browser, not on our servers.

Data you upload for an analysis project (sequencing files, genotype exports, and related material) is the most sensitive information we handle, and it is treated accordingly:

• ✓Stored in private, encrypted storage, visible only to you and the analyst assigned to your project.
• ✓Used exclusively for the analyses you commissioned. Never for anything else, never shared with third parties, never included in research without your separate written consent.
• ✓Deleted on request: ask at any time and we remove all your files and confirm it in writing.

• ✓We never sell your data, of any kind, to anyone.
• ✓We never share your contact details with third parties for marketing.
• ✓We never use client genetic data for our own research without explicit written consent.

The site runs on trusted infrastructure providers (hosting, database, and authentication services), which process data on our behalf under their own security certifications. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your email address with us to create your account; we receive nothing else from your Google account.

You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask for corrections, or ask for complete deletion of your account and files at any time by writing to contact@snpscience.com. We respond within a reasonable time, normally a few working days.
